Editorial Policy and Corrections

Sourcing

Every factual claim is linked to its original source where one exists: CPCB, SPCBs, MoEFCC, NGT orders, Parliament replies, court judgments, peer-reviewed research or named institutions. We prefer primary documents to news reports about them.

Fact, figure and analysis

We label official figures, our own calculations and editorial opinion separately. Every article shows a publication date and, when changed, an "Updated" date.

Independence and funding

The site is funded by its publisher, Bharat Environment Consultants, and, once approved, by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say over coverage. Ads are labelled and kept apart from article text. Articles do not promote BEC's paid services.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools for research assistance and copy-editing. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked against sources and approved by a human editor before publication, and the editor is responsible for its content.

Health and legal topics

Articles on public health or regulation are general information, not medical or legal advice, and are checked against official guidance.

Corrections

Errors are corrected openly. We add a dated correction note to the article and record it below. Send requests through the contact page.
